Martin Luther Caldwell was a Great Grandfather of mine, a miner and lay methodist preacher. The bible depicted was the '20th Century New Testament' a version in modern English. It is full of underlinings and border and blank page notes. I used this book to do my O levels and obtained what in those days was termed a Distinction. The modern language certainly helped.
